As the first of its kind in the travel tech sphere, Travel Startups Incubator (TSI) takes a different approach to investing: to raise seed funding an unprecedented level of exposure for the nomadic entrepreneur.
TSI is creating a dynamic digital hub for travel tech startups to connect directly with prospective investors, the innovative Travel Technology Investment Platform.
The Platform connects traveling companies with investors from all around the world. Concurrently, investors have direct access to and communication with every startup in the TSI portfolio.
“Apart from creating an entirely new playing field for startups to easily showcase their ideas and technology, the Travel Technology Investment Platform gives our startups more exposure and access to accredited investors who are specifically interested in travel tech, and exclusive access to TSI’s Innovation Partners and Strategic Alliances, such as Skyscanner and Amadeus, to raise funds and get their projects off the ground,” said Travel Startups Incubator Founder Matt Zito.
Travel Startups Incubator was founded by former travel entrepreneurs and startup advisors. It focuses on providing support for young ventures within mobile travel tech, leisure travel, in-destination, travel advertising, business travel, B2B, and much more. Via its four- to six-month virtual, online incubator service, Travel Startups provides ventures with an initial $25,000 in seed-stage capital as well as business advice, mentoring, legal, PR and business development. “We compete against some of the largest tech incubators in the world, but our virtual structure allows us to provide incredible value through niche expertise and lower overhead costs during incubation processes,” added Zito.
This suite of accessible tools, combined with the new Investment Platform, allows companies mentored under Travel Startups’ experts to be leaders in a massively competitive industry that — according to Statista — has an annual global economic impact of approximately $7.5 trillion.
The Investment Platform “is a solution to a problem that was desperately needed in the digital travel industry,” added Zito.“We believe that the next phase of startup investment and incubation will be within niche verticals that are 100% virtual. TSI’s new Investment Platform is the next step to that evolution.”
